Agritourism, including music, arts and crafts, games and more, may be the answer to preserving Columbia County’s only remaining dairy farm

AUGUSTA, GA – Last November, Jim Steed went before the Columbia County Planning Commission to get approval for an idea he hoped would allow the last surviving dairy farm in the county to remain where it had been since 1934.

Steed wanted to try his hand at agritourism, and while some may have felt the move reeked of desperation, Steed held onto his vision throughout the intervening months, and now he’s preparing for the start of his first season.  Full Story

Limit of 5 boxes of your favorite residential “flotsam” can be shredded on Saturday between 10 am and 2 pm.
